Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) goes back to the Polytechnical School established in 1825, it was one of the first of its kind in the German-speaking area. The campus is situated at the heart of Karlsruhe, surrounded by the Karlsruhe Palace and its beautiful palace garden.
The symposium will take place in the historic Höpfner Castle (Hoepfner Burghof), which is located in the eastern part of Karlsruhe.

If you arrive with public transportation, you may use either of the tram stations “Karl-Wilhelm-Platz” or “Hauptfriedhof” and then walk the remaining 200 meters.
The entrance to the “Schalander”, our venue, is via the beer-garden.
